Beverly’s artworks are so vivid in their colors that it reminds me of my attempt to follow in the glowing footsteps of Carlos Castaneda back in the early 1970s; did Bev follow them, too?

WINTER SESSION 2017-18

BLOG POST #192 AT THE AICP-END

TWO HUNDRED-AND-THIRTY-SEVEN DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

Many of Beverly’s works make me think of psychotropic experiences in which, I engaged as a young man
Shafter, CA, 03-14-2018 WednesdayBuenas días, mis amigos, I am here to do my first post of the year over here at the AICP-END Blog, the one where we share thoughts and comments on the founding saint of our two blogs, the glorious Beverly Carrick.  Beverly is fantastic and we all love her works and wish she still roamed the Earth, compiling photos within the confines of her amazing omnipotent mind, one that served her well as an artist.
I have shared comments on how she painted some of the finest paintings of California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii.  She also toured much of the Great American Southwest as well the Rocky Mountain States and up in Canada in the Blue Canadian Rockies, paintings one can find if they scroll through her stunning catalog that you will find ONLY here at the AICP-END Blog.
As a young fellow, I traveled across the United States and have seen some transformative places if I may say so. I love the Southwest, followed in the footsteps of the now-chastened Carlos Castaneda, the creator of the Don Juan books, the ones about the famed Yaqui Indian sorcerer who opened the mind of the college professor and set him off on a quest for greatness and enlightenment on the ‘astral plane’ for want of a better adjective.
I always loved those books and roamed the deserts of Arizona, New Mexico, and northern Mexico (before the place became a warzone of battling drug cartels) in the search for the same psychotropic cacti and desert plants as I, too, wanted to follow the beckoning path.
Well, I never found what it was I sought but I had some ‘experiences’ that left memories carved into the gray matter of my mind’s inner recesses.  All I can say is that I am glad I did as there is an enormous difference between natural psychotropics and human-made crap the kids delight in taking today.
Ah well, let me say is that many of Beverly’s works remind me of places I have gone and from which, I have had the good luck of coming back. Here we go, let us view the stunning BIG 15 we have for you today NOW:

One of the remarkable things about writing for the two blogs is that the hosts receive the albums we advertise as well as the books and whatever else we sometimes promote.  After all, how can one promote something he or she has never heard, read, or seen, right?
As you know—if you have been with us at the main blog from the early days of 2010, Savoy Brown was among our first bands, I believe following the Flamin’ Groovies and then Fleetwood Mac so that means we now are doing them over here, which will allow us—by the time we complete them—will catch us up and then we will present other older offerings.
I believe that next Tuesday, we will conclude Foghat at the main blog and then we will begin promoting Deep Purple.  Everyone loves Deep Purple and that is why we are going to begin doing them.
From what I understand, we are not going to try to inject albums by Rainbow or other solo efforts into this run as it would go on just as long as the Beatles and the works of each of its individual members did, the longest offering we have ever done, I believe 230 days or more.
Please, join me over there today and throughout the rest of the week—make sure you do, I am expecting you, mis amigos.  Adios.
Muchas gracias, buen amigos!

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

SPECIAL ALBUM OF THE DAY:

Sunday, May 31, 2015 Blog Post:

Today, we continue offering albums by the James Ganga hard-rocking band out of America’s Midwest that featured Joe Walsh on guitar and vocals for the first 4-5 albums and who has returned to the reborn band in present times.  The band was the classic power trio and it delivered quite a few Top 40 singles, “Walk Away” being the memorable one.  Anyhow, their second release, “James Gang Rides Again,” came out in October 1970 and continued the saga of this hard-rocking outfit.  We love this album, love this band, and urge you to go to Amazon.com right now and BUY it by using the convenient link!
