SPRING SESSION 2018

BLOG POST #197 AT THE AICP-END

TWO HUNDRED-AND-TWO DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY 2018

Who among you does not love Beverly Carrick original artworks?
Bakersfield, CA, 04-18-2018 Wednesday: Good morning, welcome to the blog where we present the artworks of Beverly Carrick, perhaps America’s greatest artist, deceased or living.  Sure, there are many people out there who do not know of her stately works, paintings that presented the blazing purple sunset deserts of the American Southwest to a generation or two of folks around the world who had no clue such beauty existed on our rotating blue orb.
Beverly had fans around the world, people who collected her works, so they could bring the desert into their homes, capture the powerful Pacific Ocean and to bring it into their bedrooms, where they could fixate on distant points, and then in their minds swim out to meet the sunset at the far end of the sea.
I love her paintings and along with hubby Henry, lovingly referred to as “HB,” we have made a concerted effort to find as many of them as we can at bargain basement prices, so we can put them away for future profit.  As you should know, artworks appreciate once an artist has been gone for 10-20 years and currently, we are approaching the first decade since her death.
“HB” and I seek out her paintings whenever we journey to new places, so we can pick them up and then ship them to our home outside of Bakersfield.  We love hanging them in positions of prominence, so our friends and family can share the same exhilaration that we do, the sort of warmth that pervades one’s heart like a bottle of fine brandy decanted at the end of the evening.
Please, join me now as we visualize the gloriousness of Beverly Carrick original artworks, paintings that are so magnificent, that it makes one feel privileged to be able to spend a few moments out of one’s day to partake of them.  If you are ready, please join me now as we lift off on a journey to the center of our hearts.  Here we go:

Many novices question as to what a ‘teddy bear’ is, well, friends, it is a cactus, a Cholla cactus to be precise.  Cholla stand up like little ‘teddy bears,’ well, sort of, anyway, furry little cacti native to the great American Southwest.  If you have never seen them bunched up, then looking at some of the paintings featuring them allows you do to so—unmolested.
Cholla cacti tend to latch onto its ‘victims’ via their small spines, ‘thorns’ that dig into one’s skin and cause misery, so fine are they.  Viewing them on canvass is the best way to enjoy the viewing so please, make sure you view them here today before moving on to your busy workday.
Friends, that is going to do it for you and me here today; however, you can visit this site every Wednesday, so you can see the next batch of 15 stupendous Beverly Carrick originals, paintings one can find and collect, preserving for the day when the value of a Beverly Carrick original goes sky high.
Do not think of yourself, no, think of your kids and grandkids as they will be the ones who will reap the farsightedness employed by you in purchasing them.
Okie-dokie, folks, I will see you over at the main blog.  Go there now!
Thank you!

FEATURED ALBUM OF THE DAY:

In 1974Savoy Brown released “Boogie Brothers,” this one featuring Miller Anderson (guitars from the Keef Hartley Band) along with leader Kim Simmonds (guitars and vocals), as well as guitarist Stan Webb from Chicken Shack along with Paul Raymond (keyboards, guitars), Andy Pyle (bass), and Dave Bidwell (drums).  This album is a smoking guitar-fest if ever one existed that did not include one of the BIG THREE—Eric ClaptonJeff Beck, or Jimmy Page, which is a good reason for you to seek it out at Amazon.com.  Once there, you can pick the CD up in the format, condition, and the price that rocks your socks.  You can thank us later.

SPECIAL ALBUM(S) OF THE DAY:

Friday, June 05, 2015 Blog Post:

The next album by the great British band, the Kinks, was their follow-up to their debut album.  This one came out in 1964 and was entitled, “Kinks-Size.” In many ways, the Stones and the Kinks had a great deal in common in that they played blues their style as well as Chuck Berry tunes with abandon.  However, Ray Davies was already writing tunes and damned good ones such as “Tired of Waiting for You,” which was the big hit off this record. The Stones would start slow in their writing and who would at first attribute the tunes to other names before going with Jagger-Richard.  This is a great CD, one we highly urge you to buy as once you slap it into your CD player and give it a go, you will find yourself back in the rollicking, rip-roaring 1960s!
