THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CULINARY POLITICS-ELEMENTAL NEWS OF THE DAY COMMENTARY-OPINION-SPORTS-FOOD SERVICE FOR WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2017 BY CHEF BRIAN C. CARRICK

SUMMER SESSION 2017

BLOG POST #162 AT THE AICP-END

This November, it will be five years since Mom died
Oildale, CA, 08-16-2017 Wednesday: This November, my mama will be gone five years, she passed away following the loss by Mitt Romney in the 2012 Election that enabled the worst president in American history a second term.  Like her, the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama appalled me to my core as I could not see how anyone in their right mind—other than illegal aliens and welfare recipients—could have cast a vote for such a dishonest man.
Ah, well, that is the past as we now have a brand-new president, one I know my Mom would have approved of because she approved of him back in the day, especially after he stepped forward and demanded the sitting president disclose his long form birth certificate.
The push by Mr. Trump to force President Obama to disclose his birth certificate endeared the wealthy real estate developer to millions of Americans just as video from the White House Correspondents Dinner did.  I mean, who could overlook the humiliation that President Obama heaped atop Mr. Trump when he pointedly showed clips from “The Lion King” as proof of his birth?
Everyone in the room—obviously liberals—guffawed, laughed, and chortled at the expense of Mr. Trump at Obama flinging his ire into his face and many believe that this was the catalyst that spurred Mr. Trump to run for and to win the White House.
Thank God, he did and thank God, he won because our nation needs him now more than ever even though the Dems are going over the cliff like lemmings do.
What’s more, they are so upset that Trump beat their tired, aged champion, Hillary Rodham Clinton, that they would rather see Kim Jong-Un carry out a successful nuke strike on the United States so they can tar and feather the man rather than aiding him in our fight against our enemies.
Let us now look at the next batch of beautiful Beverly Carrick original artworks that I have for you today and let me also thank for my colleagues who give willingly of their time to write posts both at the main blog as well as over here at our secondary effort.
You see, this is a dedicated labor of love because we enjoy sharing the images that we do because there is only one person such as my Mom who had the talent that few around the world possess.
Perhaps this is the reason ‘why’ an astute buyer can find so many reproductions of her work on the black market so make sure you always take a potential purchase to an art appraiser so you can learn if your painting is genuine or if it came from Russia.  There are your REAL villains.

Thank you for indulging me today in my tying together the artworks painted by my Mom and the political landscape that darkened the nation back in 2012.
At the time, the loss of my Mother was both a blessing and a curse because her love of life disappeared with the death of her beau, Jack Russell.  His loss caused her to become angry and there was no changing her mindset from that point forward.
On the other hand, I truly loved my Mother because to me, I believed her to be the shining, glorious example of what one’s mother should be as she was always a trendsetter in her dress, jewelry, and her hair.
She enjoyed being the center of attention because it made her feel as though ‘she had made it’ and she did—at least until the collapse of the art profession following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.  Then, the bottom fell out for many artists and her esteem suffered because of it.
Friends, I feel good being ‘back in the saddle’ so to speak and am glad that you keep both of our blogs in mind whenever you want to read what culinary professionals should say on a wide range of topics.  We enjoy being on the ‘cutting edge’ and thank you for putting us there.
Please, join me at the main blog today and throughout the rest of the week.  Thanks.
