SUMMER SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #107 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to my inaugural post at the secondary blog
Arvin, CA 07-27-2016 Wednesday: Hello, friends, and welcome to the secondary blog of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day family, the one we began when Google Blogger shut us down back in 2014, I believe for a week.  My understanding of the event is that for some reason, they were giving us the eye and thinking we were the front of some nefarious group, something other than what we proclaim to be.  Since that time, however, most of us believe they have kept us in their ‘sandbox,’ the place where they condemn blogs they do not like or suspect of perfidy to go and die.  Alas, we are still alive and doing quite well.
We would like to ask of Google Blogger please, remove the shackles from us, so we can go back to grabbing bigger and better numbers every day.  Sometimes, we go up while at others, we go down and there is NEVER an explanation as to WHY this is so.  We do our best to reach out, to write at other blogs even though some dumb schmucks call us ‘Internet trolls,’ we do our best to get the message out there.
In addition to that, we also attempt to find new and much more diverse chef-bloggers who would like to spread their political beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and ideas to the worldwide web.  We beg people to come and join us as we believe we do the Lord’s work on any given day including the presentation of Beverly Carrick original artworks.  Let us enjoy today’s selection of beautiful paintings, any of which, I would love to hang on the walls of my restaurant in the Tehachapi Mountains.
Here we go:

I never had the opportunity to know Beverly as others here at the blog do but I have to say, she evokes a feeling within my chest that borders on the euphoria one feels when he sees the birth of his first child.  Granted, there are some schmoes out there who want to father kids and then leave them to the welfare system but me, I have always been one to uphold every responsibility I have ever undertaken.
If you get my drift, then you understand what it is I am saying, the images you view here today and every day at the other blog and every week at this one, then you know what the definition of BEAUTY is—it is a Beverly Carrick image hanging on the wall, especially a painting but other forms will do.  Friends, leave some comments on her paintings and we will debate the position this amazing all-American artist holds in the global world of art.
Join me at the other blog and we will do our thing, folks, as I am discussing over there the ongoing DNC National Convention we see taking place in Philly.  I make some suggestions such as tossing the old fool, Hank Johnson, and other dimwits out of the Wells Fargo Center and bringing in AMERICA-loving speakers to show that we have patriotism just as the GOP does.  Please, throw the Palestinian and Soviet flags out of the place, it makes us appear CRAZY.  See you over there.
Thanks.

MORE: CLIMAX BLUES BAND

WEDNESDAY, JULY 27, 2016

The Climax Blues Band released a live album recorded in 1982, “The River Sessions” (2005).  Performing on the album were the following musicians: Pete Haycock (guitars/vocals), Colin Cooper (saxophones/vocals), Derek Holt (bass guitar/keyboards/vocals), George Glover (keyboards), John Cuffley (drums).  On the road in support of their album, “Lucky for Some” and longtime fans could see the band was moving in a more commercial direction but like it or not, times change and bands either keep up with the flow or fall by the wayside.  We love this album and know that fans of this band and of the blog will, too, so please—use the link we provide you here so you can zip on over to Amazon.com and pick it up however you like it—you will be glad you did.
