SPRING SESSION 2016

BLOGPOST #100 AT THE AICP-END

Welcome to the Secondary Blog
Century City, CA, 06-08-2016 Wednesday: Friends, I spoke of misery over at the main blog today as discussing the tragedy of the 2016 Election season is one that depresses most everyone I know.  People who have lived under communist rule understand the danger we face should someone such as Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders win the White House while at the same time, Donald Trump is a wild card in a deck full of jokers.
What we do have is the brief respite of viewing the gorgeous works of patron artist of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, Beverly Carrick.  We love viewing her paintings as they transport one’s heart, soul, and mind to distant places, locales where we can unfetter the parts of our minds that allow us to escape the misery and intensity of the times.
Today, we have some dazzling deserts, a regular landscape, some birds, some floral presentations and a seascape or two.  Beverly had a talent that seems to come around only once every 2-3 centuries, talent that leaves its mark on one’s psyche, which is why I am a committed fan.  I have seen no other artist except those from 200 or more years ago that stir me in the same way her elegant works do me.  I hope you will find the following the batch of 15 paintings as soul-stirring as do I.  Here we go:

BEVERLY CARRICK ORIGINAL ARTWORKS FOR JUNE 08, 2016:

#1236 8” x 10” “Purple Sunset”

#1237 36” x 24” “Picnic with Jack”

#1238 20” x 16” “Lemons and Birds”

#1239 36” x 24” “Lupines and Saguaros”

#1240 12” x 16” “Evening Shadows”

#1241 12” x 16” “Doves and Others”

#1242 16” x 20” “Evening Surf”

#1243 16” x 20” “Kernville B-&-B”

#1244 10” x 8” “Brian’s Roses”

#1245 5” x 7” “Beauty”

#1246 6” x 8” “Texas Favorites”

#1247 5” x 7” “Ballerina”

#1248 12” x 16” “Evening Landing”

#1249 8” x 10” “New Mexico”

#1250 8” x 10” “Banquet”
I hope you have enjoyed today’s presentation; I love viewing her paintings and can do so for hours if left alone to do it.  Sitting on a bench in a gallery, allowing my eyes to absorb the pieces of her heart with which, she imbued each glistening image always helps me overcome the depression I experience when seeing our great nation collapse in upon itself as the American Left seeks to impose its dictatorial desires upon us.  God help us!
Please, join me over at the main blog; I hope to see you there today and throughout the rest of the week.
Thank you!

MORE: CLIMAX BLUES BAND

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 08, 2016

The Climax Blues Band released their next album in 1980, “Flying the Flag,” an album that contained a major hit albeit one the band was not interested in recording.  “Flying the Flag,” continued the band’s struggles into the new decade and the song by bassist, Derek Holt, “I Love You,” did very well on the charts.  The band contained the ‘core five,’ Pete Haycock (guitars/vocals), Colin Cooper (saxophones/vocals), Derek Holt (bass guitar/keyboards/vocals), Pete Filleul (keyboards), and John Cuffley (drums), which gave it continuity even though there was some dissension as to the direction to go.  We know you will enjoy this album as much as we do so that is why we urge you to seek it out by using our link so you can get it at Amazon.com —the world’s greatest online marketplace.
