“Beverly Carrick Paintings Start-to-Finish, Part Sixty-One: today, Chef Charles brings up Firearms, something People might find incongruous with an Art Blog but HEY—Beverly’s Second Husband was a Marksman and a Hero!” by Chef Charles Smithenstein

Posted at 12:01 A.M. PDT

Today, we go back a couple of years to share with you a trio of solo CDs Justin Hayward released in the late 1990s because we overlooked them—shame on us!  The first CD is from 1996 and is entitled, “Justin Hayward and Friends sing the Moody Blues Classics,” a great CD in which his friends and guest musicians do just that: sing the classic tunes recorded by the band.  The second CD comes from 1996 and is entitled, “The View from the Hill” while the final CD hails from 1998 and bears the title, “Live from San Juan Capistrano.”  However you slice it, Mr. Hayward is a talented musician and whatever he lends his songwriting, his voice, and his distinctive guitar-playing to are well worth the expense.  We urge you to take the links we provide you here to go to Amazon.com, the world’s greatest online marketplace in the world where you can buy all three in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you—what can be better than that, we ask you?  Please, let us know what you think, we love hearing from the readership!

FALL SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #68 AT THE AICP-END

At the Main Blog Today, I was going off on Illegal Immigration and HOW the Nation’s Political Parties seem to be “Okay” with it
Bakersfield, CA, 10-28-2015 Wednesday: I have to admit that when I began writing the main post over at the primary blog today, boy, I was angry because every flipping day, we see a tidal wave of illegal aliens flowing across our borders.  This is one of the reasons why my family and I are big gun owners, as I said either yesterday or on Monday, it took a near robbery-and-a-shot-fired-by-my-head to make me go out and buy the very first gun I ever owned.  Nowadays, there are so many fine firearms that one can buy a brand-new gun every month, go shooting every single weekend, and stock up on ammo so when the government moves in and shuts down our options at buying all the aforementioned stuff, we will be ready.
Beverly’s Second Husband, John, was a respected Military Man
You ask what guns have to do with Beverly Carrick and OH, let me say this: this is my first time doing this blog and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do it.  Okay, we now return to the beginning of the sentence, what guns have to do with Beverly Carrick is that her second husband, John, was a marksman, a trained shootist, a man who served the nation during the Korean War.  He had medals in his trophy case from all the years he participated in going to events and lighting up numerous targets, doing some amazing things while he was alive.  What I saw in the trophy case at Beverly’s home before she passed away back in 2012 was mind-blowing, the man was a gifted shooter and what Mrs. Snow (Beverly) said to me about his abilities was impressive.
John Snow served his Nation with Honor and Ability and came home a Hero from a War MOST Americans wanted to forget
Apparently, the military did not use John for a shooter at first, having trained him to fire a piece of artillery that they did not send to the theater.  Sleeping in the mud, an officer came to him one day and asked if he and his men would consent to being ‘line crossers.’  If they agreed, they would be able to sleep in a warm room and not in the crappy tents in which, they shivered during the frigid Korean winters.  They agreed and so they began an odyssey of crossing into enemy territory every night and returning with prisoners for interrogation.  Many times, they had to do battle with the North Koreans and the Chinese hand-to-hand, all in total silence except the grunting of their breath.  Sometimes he had the opportunity to pick off officers with the ability of his aim and his weapon and so he came home a hero from a war most Americans wanted to forget.
John passed away in 1999
John died in 1999 from a horrible disease that corrupted his blood supply and left him gasping for oxygen.  It is indeed sad what happens to the nation’s heroes and it would be great if there was something we could do about these horrendous diseases.  Cancer hit Beverly a third time in November of 2012 and within 21 days; she had crossed to the other side to be reunited with her beloved husband, John.  Soon, we will be approaching the third anniversary of her passing later this month.  Please, join us in celebrating her amazing artistic abilities as we pick up with the next batch of Beverly Carrick original artworks.  Thanks for joining me today—here we go:

PLEASE BUY ALL OF THE ALBUMS WE ADVERTISE AT AMAZON.COM!
As always, we have a great time around here and that is why we want all of you to become a part of the organization by submitting articles to us for inspection and full-credit.  It is a great thing if you would do this, as it is a symbiotic relationship: we give you the space to share your recipes and in return, you send us more and more people who will become dedicated followers of the AICP-END
Currently of multi-diversity across the Internet, it is important that we hear the voices of more and more people from all walks of the foodservice profession —join us.  We urge our readership to write to us, leave comments, and if there are any of you, who would care to write an article for us, please get in touch via Magnolia Hilltop Brewers, P.O. Box 20669, Bakersfield, CA 93390-0669
We obviously do not pay anything but give YOU full byline and that, my friends, is worth its weight in gold.  We want as many people who want to write to be able to do so and we believe that by presenting a forum for our fellow chefs, we are doing something for our beloved industry.  We love diversity and hope to add new and different authors to our pantheon of chefs, food and beverage directors, and culinary professionals.  Come on and join us, it will be fun!  Expect that when all of us have run through our cycle, we will be introducing some brand-new talent or so Stinky says.
We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blog site.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per mon7th!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!
Here is another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
We are selling recipes all the time and you can order things you would like copies of simply by mailing us your name, address, the recipe you would like and a check for $1.00.  You can buy an entire week’s worth of recipes when we do a series simply by sending us a check or money order (no cash please!) for $20 and we will have it out to you in the next day’s mail.  Please become a part of the AICP-END by sending us your names, addresses, and information and we will welcome all of you with open arms!
To buy paintings, recipes, or full article series, please send us your information by mailing us at P.O. Box #20669, Bakersfield, CA, 93309-0669.  You can call about paintings at 661-374-1430; we will take all calls and provide to you as much information as is available.  It is time that we begin taking the next step and to immortalize Beverly Carrick for eternity and begin moving towards the establishment of a website of our own!  God bless each single one of you amongst our fan base!
I hope I did not run anyone off today talking about guns, the military, and doing one’s duty in the nation’s wars.  If there is one thing all of us can agree upon here at the blog, it is the idea that America’s military men and women come before everyone else and that they deserve nothing but the best care available.  What John Snow experienced in Korea in the early 1950s left an indelible mark on his psyche, it was something he felt he had to do, and yet, it troubled him throughout much of his life.  Still, he was a successful businessman, traveled around the world with his beautiful bride by his side— including Communist China, his former enemy—,and enjoyed life to the fullest.  We miss both of them.  Thanks for joining me today at this blog as well as at the MAIN blog, we welcome everyone, gun owners and gun haters alike as well as all art lovers.  Thanks again and I will see you today, tomorrow and the rest of the week at the main blog.
The Closing Words of our Founder, Stinkbug:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower.  What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by the Moody Blues, Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Mike Pinder, Graeme Edge, and Ray Thomas, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here!  In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.
Moreover, we love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com, the world’s largest online marketplace in the world and most likely in the Universe!
Thank you!

  1. Chef Charles is a unique man, only he can discuss guns and art in the same blog post. Most of us here at the blog certainly do enjoy exercising our Second Amendment rights, just yesterday, I was out shooting my Kimber Mountain rifle, man that thing is amazing. It can put a slug through a target like there is no tomorrow. Anyhow, I am not here to discuss my prowess but to promote today’s blog to the readership as we have another glorious 15 Beverly Carrick original artworks all for your viewing pleasure. / Chef Vladimir Gdansk of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, posted @ 10:00 A.M.
