“Beverly Carrick Paintings Start-to-Finish, Part Thirty-Eight: Murph shares her thoughts about what it means to be a Strong Feminine Role Model in the way Beverly Carrick was and her Memory still can be” by Chef Murph MacDougal

-----------------------------
We have two albums for you today, the first by the Moody Blues while the second is a solo effort by bassist and vocalist John Lodge.  The album by the Moody Blues is “Caught Live plus Five,” an album that came out in 1977 and marked the beginning of the band’s comeback effort.  Originally, a two-disk set, the first three sides of the record album contained the band live in action while the fourth side contained FIVE new songs, one by each of the five members.  We love this CD and urge you to check it out at Amazon.com so you can check it out—it is great.  The album by John Lodge came out in 1977 also and is entitled, “Natural Avenue.”  John is one of two main parts of the Moody Blues, working with Justin Hayward or writing solo and the two together fronts the band and continues to do so until today.  We urge everyone to seek out both of these CDs by using the above two links we provide you here to go to Amazon.com so you can seek both out.  There, you can get them in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for YOU so go there now—you will be glad you did!

DAY NUMBER FIVE-HUNDRED-AND-NINETY-SIX UNDER OBAMACARE

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #45 AT THE AICP-END

Now, it’s MY turn to do the AICP-END Blog…
Bakersfield, CA, 05-20-2015 Wednesday: Friends, this is exciting for me to be able to come over here and do a post along with the normal stint at the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day (please, friends, I urge you to go see < http://www.elementalnewsoftheday.blogspot.com/>) as all of us now gets a chance to do a post here.  Now, the sad thing is that I only met Beverly one time but when I met her, I was impressed at how strong a female she was, she took NO shit from anyone, especially not from some of the loser men in her life.  I know that John was her beloved husband, a man who was stolen from her at too early an age due to illness, something that left a dark mark in her soul for the next decade or so.  We women are tough, however, everything typically falls upon our shoulders and so we persevere.
Let me tell you about the Four Horsemen of the American Apocalypse…
At the main blog, I have been discussing what I see as a looming disaster for the United States, what I call the “Four Horsemen of the American Apocalypse,” because long-time liberalism has left the nation open to moral decay and rot.  Granted, I look at life more from a Libertarian perspective but BIG UNIONS, BIG ENVIRONMENTALISM, BIG ILLEGAL ALIENS, and BIG POLITICAL CORRUPTION are the BIG FOUR of the onrushing ‘apocalypse.’  Each one of these crushing BIG entities is more or less a ‘cottage industry’ of sorts in that each one feeds on the lifeblood of the American Dream.  Allow one to grow untouched in the darkness like mushrooms or in the bloodstream as does a venereal disease and one can see the problems.  My hope is at some point, some spark, some minor little thing will ignite an explosion in the Millennial Generation to wake up and do something about it.  Otherwise, this is the first generation in American history that has sat idly by as the nation collapses into despotism, immorality, and anarchy.
This is what I know about the famous Beverly Carrick…
What I know about Beverly Carrick, however, is that she took no shit and no prisoners.  If you got on her bad side, she would not put up with you, would kick you in the ass and move on to someone and something else.  This is the mark of a strong woman, a woman who knew what she wanted to achieve in life, was given a bowl of steaming shit—several times—and overcame each.  I know something about this as every woman coming of age suffers from all sorts of bull crap until they learn, absorb, and move on from the hard lessons of life.  We have the ability to either seize life by the balls or to have the BALLS crush us; it is our choice that is what feminism is all about.  What feminism is NOT about is becoming more masculine, eschewing men, and living life in a miserable funk.  Not once have I ever thought about schlepping another woman, homosexuality is for losers and whiners.  I prefer taking charge of my own life as should all other women.
I do not need anyone to stick anything down MY throat…
Unfortunately, in the United States right now, we live in a moral vacuum.  However, as a Libertarian, I believe that everyone has the right to live his or her life in the way in which, they choose; however, they do not have the right to stuff their choices down OUR throats.  They cannot do it in the educational system, they cannot do it in the school of life, they cannot do it through the media, and they certainly cannot do it to MY face.  I have done my best to both respect and protect my femininity as well as to be independent and intelligent.  NOT a single one of my employees has ever accused me of being unfair or showing others favoritism because they know I will tolerate no crap.  Anyhow, it seems to have worked well throughout my life.  Let’s look at our Beverly Carrick paintings of the day:
#0411 20” x 24” “Sundown II”

#0412 20” x 24” “Spring Again Highway 1”

#0413 16” x 14” “Echoes of Eden”

#0414 14” x 11” “Wisteria Garden”

#0415 9” x 12” “Solitude”

#0416 16” x 20” “Mallards in Autumn”

#0417 30” x 40” “Promenade”

#0418 20” x 24” “Garden of the Moon”

#0419 36” x 24” “Mermaid Pavilion”

#0420 12” x 16” “All Abloom”

#0421 30” x 40” “Fountain Frolic”

#0422 24” x 30” “The Old Grist Mill”

#0423 30” x 40” “A Setting Sun and Day is Done”

#0424 40” x 60” “Monsoon Season”

#0425 30” x 40” “Sundown Camp”
There you go 15 classic Beverly Carrick original oil paintings.  Beverly had an uncanny ability to capture the moment because she lived the moment that was how she lived life.  Over the course of her lifetime, she experienced the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens as we all have.  Granted, I have never undergone bone cancer, lost a leg, and then pulled myself up by the bootstraps—at age 12 no frigging less!—and then gone on to live a very productive life.  I mean, reaching age 87 and being in charge of one’s life until the very end tells you how strong this amazing woman, this astounding artist, this one of a kind woman, someone whom I hope I can emulate, was.  God bless her but I must say, she got out at a good time because thanks to the Obama and the Democrats, everything is going to hell in a handbasket.  Thanks for giving me a chance, I hope I get to do this again, my friends.  Join me at the other blog and see me tomorrow there, too, and throughout the rest of the week—bye!
Thank you, my friends!

This is a picture of me when I was a young chef in the kitchen back in 1975. I apprenticed underneath my father and spent six years working for him in his British-Irish restaurant in Fresno, California. I later moved to Frazier Park, California, and spent quite a few years working in the area and that is where I met Stinkbug. Anyhow, I am now working at a country club over on the coast near San Luis Obispo.
