“Beverly Carrick Paintings Start-to-Finish, Part Thirty-Four: Cheryl becomes the First Author other than Stinkbug to discuss the Majesty of Beverly Carrick, one of the World’s All-Time Great Artists and one YOU should know” by Chef Cheryl La Tigre

-----------------------------
The next album by the British rock band, the Moody Blues, “Every Good Boy deserves Favour,” came out in 1971 and saw the band with a great Top 40 Radio hit, “The Story in Your Eyes.”  This song gave the band some great notice in the world of music and kept the spirit of this phenomenally unique band going, although they would begin to spin off in different directions and do some solo albums.  Still, if you want to hear a magnificent album by one of the best bands of the second wave of the British music invasion, then you do need to seek this CD out by going to Amazon.com using the link provided you here and finding it in the format, the condition, and the price that is right for you, your ears, and your pocketbook!

DAY NUMBER FIVE-HUNDRED-AND-SIXTY-SEVEN UNDER OBAMACARE

SPRING SESSION 2015

BLOGPOST #41 AT THE AICP-END

Beverly Carrick loved the United States of America…
Bakersfield, CA, 04-22-2015 Wednesday: Hello, aloha, welcome to the secondary blog of the American Institute of Culinary Politics-Elemental News of the Day, the AICP-END Blog, the official place where we share the images painted by the one-and-only Beverly Carrick.  This is the FIRST time another artist besides our host and boss, Chef Stinkbug, has stepped in and authored a post so that makes me feel very ono, my friends.  I never truly had the opportunity to know Beverly as a human being as when I first met her, she was ill, stricken with cancer for the third time in her life and on her deathbed.  I wish I had had the opportunity to have made her acquaintance sooner as she is in my estimation one of the greatest painters of the modern era.
In Hawaii, however, we favor a different style of art, one that favors splashy wall murals featuring the life of the oceans both above and below surface.  We also have much Polynesian art as well as Asian art although we have people from the six inhabited continents of the world and perhaps one day, someone from Antarctica.  While that might be a stretch, what the heck but we do welcome folks from across the world who wish to come here, make a home, pursue the Aloha Spirit, and to become one with us.  Occasionally, some leave for home based upon the claustrophobia they experience from ‘Rock Fever,’ something few know about until they arrive here and stay awhile.  Imagine standing out in the countryside and seeing more stars than one has ever seen in one’s lifetime.  Imagine realizing that YOU live on a pinprick in the middle of a vast ocean, one atop a volcanic base that could collapse as did the fabled continent of Atlantis into the dark depths below.  Yikes, I am scaring myself—just kidding.
At the other blog, we fight the politics of the day while here at the AICP-END, we spend our time enjoying art although we sometimes do discuss political topics as that is what our host, the esteemed Chef Stinkbug, favors doing.  Politics can make one weep with frustration so why should you and I delve into angry words, unhappiness, and misery when we can enjoy the gift of art and to share it with our fellow human beings around the world no matter what they appear like, whom they love, the color of their skin, or the place of their birth?  As long as you accept the spirit of Aloha, we in Hawaii will accept you that is all that matters friends so let us look at the Beverly Carrick paintings for today: ello,H

We now will present more Beverly Carrick Original Artworks
For those who know Beverly very well, they knew her childhood dream was one of being a dancer.   She aspired to being a top dancer, able to do all styles, types, and genres, including ballet.  Unfortunately, the horror of bone cancer put a stop to that by claiming one of her legs.  Stuck in bed for weeks during recovery, she sought solace in something else and that solace came in the form of art.  Trust me; she is the BEST so let us look at her beautiful paintings NOW.   What’s more please visit the main blog by using the following link: < http://www.elementalnewsoftheday.blogspot.com/>

There you go, my first excursion into the secondary blog of the AICP-END family, one that came about when the folks at Google Blogger decided to shut us down last June or July for unknown reasons.  However, we are seeking to build up BOTH blogs to the boiling point that no one including the federal government will ever seek to shut us down, at least we hope so.  As a lifelong Democrat and liberal, I certainly hope that that will provide some mitigating factors that will prevent a sad event such as the shutdown from happening again but you can count on me to fight for our blog.  Thanks for joining me today and please, join me at the main blog because I am there for the entire week.  God bless all of you, aloha, I will see you tomorrow at the main blog and hopefully here at a future time.  Bye!
Thanks, my friends!

This is a photo of me back in the 1980’s when I was working at a hotel in Honolulu, HI, on Waikiki Beach.  I began my career in the early 1970’s when I apprenticed to cook under one of the masters on the Big Island where I was born.  I moved to Oahu in the early 1980’s after having worked in both Kona and Hilo, HI, and have been there for most of my professional career.  I have also worked on Maui for a few years (1995-1998) and have been on Kauai (2001-2003) before returning to Honolulu.  My goal is to prepare the next generation of chefs for the future and to help the underprivileged in their struggle to attain careers in the foodservice industry.
