“Political Topics and Essays, Part One Hundred-and-Seventy-Nine: The Boss offers Apologies to EVERYONE offended by his Words or use of others Photographs sans Permission and then presents a way by which, EVERY Blogger could use every Photo found on the Internet!” by Chef Craig “Stinkbug” Carrici

AICP-END BLOG #4 07-10-2014

We have two CDs today, both of which feature stellar guitarist Jimmy Page.  The first album is the third release by Led Zeppelin, one that took fans by surprise at it contained more acoustic numbers than blues-rock tunes, “Led Zeppelin III.”  This CD came out in 1970 and caused many complaints from the band’s fan; however, as the years have gone by, this album is now a cherished addition to the Zeppelin catalog.  You will want to own this CD!  The second CD is the Yardbirds ninth album, “Yardbirds Live featuring Jimmy Page.”  This CD came out in 1971 and for some reason, Page sought to squash it coming out through lawsuits, which made it available in bootleg form for decades.  We love this CD, it presents the band in a quartet with Page on guitars, Chris Dreja on bass, Keith Relf on vocals and harmonica, and Jim McCarty on drums.  The music at this point was psychedelic-blues, something the group did exceedingly well and it featured an early version of “Dazed and Confused,” which Relf actually composed although Jimmy Page later attached his name to it.  We urge you to buy both of these CDs, as they are GREAT, we love them and so will YOU!

SUMMER SESSION 2014

BLOGPOST #1,327 AT THE AICP-END

HUMP DAY!
Bakersfield, CA, 07-10-2014 Thursday: Welcome to the middle day of the workweek for us here at the AICP-END, “Hump Day,” to be sure.  First of all, we want to apologize for having exercised our free speech rights, we did not mean to engage in HATE SPEECH and did not want to single the Muslims out for being a ‘barbaric religion.’  We understand that Islam is in the throes of a civil war, so-to-speak, in that the moderates in the center suffer attacks from the extreme wings.  We believe that if ONLY the moderates would step forward and condemn their brothers who commit heinous crimes that maybe the world would be a better place and all would be well.  We do support Israel and in so doing, maybe we have caused ourselves worse trouble than if we did not.
Our goal in life is to be able to share opinions and views using our free speech rights, something we believe that Google Blogger should and would understand if they were open-minded.  Give us a chance to continue doing what we do and we will apologize to ALL people whom we may have offended with our crass commentary on the woes of the world.  This is what blogging is all about: crisp, clear commentary, sometimes you hurt the feelings of an individual or a group and that is why we always try to provide a disclaimer.  What’s more, some among us use nomme de guerre because they do not want to be singled out and decapitated by those whom they might offend.  They also do not want the Obama regime coming down on them because NO one in their right mind could ever want that as it sucks to have a punitive-minded administration such as the one we now have holding power in Washington, D.C.
The other thing for which, we feel compelled to offer an apology is the liberal sprinkling of photos throughout our posts.  First thing, many are ours whereas others are the intellectual property of others but there needs to be some way by which, bloggers can use the photos that are plastered online.  For songwriters, there are two organizations—BMI and ASCAP—that serve as songwriting clearinghouses in which, different musicians or musical groups pay a set fee for the right to perform the works of other people onstage.  Many times, groups and vocalists will perform the works of others—say, like Rod Stewart, he uses the songs of many other people—and each time he does a song by someone else live onstage, a small amount of money goes to the songwriter.
Now, it is difficult to keep track of how many times Stewart might do a Chuck Berry tune but each year, Berry gets a residual for Stewart’s use of his material.  We need to do the same thing with photographs; all bloggers should pay a set fee of $120 per year for the right to use photographs they find online.  As long as they provide accreditation, then they should be able to use as many photos as they want and to do so repeatedly, in the same way as does a musician.  Clicking on an image and downloading it should provide a digital record of how many times a blogger uses someone’s image.  At the end of the year, the photographer would receive a check for the use of his or her photos as let’s face it, everything online should be open game.  Watermark your photos, especially if you improve someone else’s work as this shows that you have altered the image(s) of another individual.
Okay, let’s say 100,000 bloggers use one image of Barack Obama.  Each one pays $0.05 each time they use the image and will continue to do so into eternity.  At the end of the year, the photographer would receive a royalty check for $5,000 on just the repeated use of ONE image.  Imagine if the photographer has thousands of images, it is EASY money for merely having taken the photo and then having placed it online.  This is a great idea and we believe it could be done; it would also be a great way to pay additional taxes to local, state, and national governments around the world.  Consider the possibilities of using an idea such as this one; we could all become very wealthy for simply doing nothing more than photo-sharing.
Google should set this up, it would be a great way for them to increase revenues as let’s face it, blogs are so much better when there are photographs everywhere.  What blogger can afford to pay AP Online $1,000 per month to have unlimited usage of photos in their library?  The time has come for there to be a new system and we would love to see someone make it a reality.  We are willing to add all of our food photos, the Beverly Carrick artworks library, and everything else we have for the viewing pleasure of the world.
In conclusion, the Internet should be a place of free and open circulation of ideas.  The fact that we are NOT clones means that not everyone is going to agree with the views of another.  However, we do not believe that because someone might say something negative about a ‘great religion,’ that they should lose their blog.  How many people attack Christianity daily whereas if one goes after the ‘religion of peace’ then one puts a death sentence atop his or her head—this is something every lover of human rights needs to fight against to stop.  Anyhow, please accept our apologies to everyone, whom we have offended, it is not something we wished to do and as for the photo clearinghouse idea, let’s make it work so EVERYONE can benefit from the usage/shooting and editing of photos!

We have touted the AARC Technology Company here in Bakersfield, CA, and must add the Nerds on Call.com folks.  Without them keeping our blog up-and-running, there is no telling where we would be now.  We have a great many problematic issues here at the AICP-END because even with the best security systems in the world, malware and other terrible fecal materials manage to penetrate the blogsite.  Do yourself a favor, hire the best, and note, you can have online help via a remote button on your desktop for just $25 per month!  Get in contact with the Nerds now!  Here’s another note: do NOT do business with Galkos Construction, Inc., those people are nothing but crooks as if you lease your system, you will never pay it off, plus you have to pay them for excess energy produced by your system, the electric company does not buy all of it nor do they!  AVOID GCI AT ALL COSTS; DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

This is a great year indeed, it was 50 years ago today that the Rolling Stones released one of the all-time greatest rock-and-roll songs of the modern era, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction!”  I can remember growing up in southern California and listening to KHJ Radio and hearing that song blasting out of the tinny speakers of my portable radio for the first time, “Wow” is all I can remember.  I love the Rolling Stones and have always loved the Rolling Stones and one day for sure, we will be offering their entire line once we finish the other bands we have lined up for you.  We are saving the best for last before catching up with some other lesser bands because both the Stones and the Beatles have many albums, something that could take a year or more to do.  Before them, we will do the Kinks and the Who along with the various solo efforts of the various musicians connected to both bands.  I anticipate the Stones beginning in early 2015 and then the Beatles; after that, we might do some of the great soul acts of the 1970’s like the Ohio Players but will fit in the Band, Supertramp, Queen, and Genesis.  Today, we have two great CDs for you, the Yardbirds’ CD is one I have always loved and know you will, too, I am so glad that Jimmy Page was unable to squash it, it is a wonderful CD!  Anyhow, please buy some CDs, leave some comments and most of all, ponder what it is we have talked about today; we need to keep the United States free!  Have a good one, God bless, and sorry for the negative words at the beginning of the post; bye!

Stinkbug’s Closing:
Anyhow, let us close with this impassioned plea—please leave some comments and/or become a follower.  What's more, why not spend some money and purchase an album by Mott the Hoople, Led Zeppelin, Free, the Yardbirds, Ron Wood, Peter Frampton, the FACES, and everyone else we advertise here and/or buy a book by any of the authors we advertise here!  In addition to that, we occasionally offer cookbooks and other oddball items so always pay attention to whatever you find in the tabs on the right side of the home page, everything you need is there!  Allied with them, we are pleased to market their merchandise!  Amazon.com is one of the greatest—if not the ultimate greatest!—online department stores in which, one can find almost everything on the planet.  We love them and they love us and we want all of you to visit them daily, take advantage of their deals on everything from kitchen equipment to cookbooks, CDs, DVDs, and everything else a person could want.  Everything you buy from them puts money into our pockets, which allows us to keep this fine blog up-and-running 24/7/365!  God bless America and God bless Amazon.com!
Thank you!

1 comment:

  1. Chef Carrici aka Stinkbug is going to be the ONLY blogger here at the recreated AICP-END while the organization considers its next move. It is interesting HOW Google Blogger shut us down when we were going to discuss the history of Barack Obama and his family and developmental life and lo and behold, the original Elemental News of the Day suffers a shutdown. We are still working at having our blog restored to us and will do whatever needs to be done to get it back up because it simply is unfair to lose something when all one does is share a variety of different viewpoints. Finally, he also offers an apology to EVERYONE injured by the blog and promises to do a better job is only Google Blogger will give us another chance and allow us to restore the original blog! Thank you, we are sorry, we do not mean to insult the greatest president that has ever ruled America nor do we intend to insult the ‘religion of peace,’ Islam. Allah Akbar!
